East End Primary School

Our History

East End Primary School, at its current site in the beautiful district of East End, was opened in 1968 when the original five classroom building was erected. Prior to this, school in East End was conducted at what is now the district’s public library building in an all age setting. In both 1983 and 1990, additional class and resource rooms were constructed to accommodate the growing East End community and increasing student population. In 2011, the multipurpose hall, canteen and additional classrooms were also added to the school.

Today, EEPS services those students living in the catchment area east of Frank Sound, including Colliers and the district of East End. Students between the ages of 4 years to 11 years attend classes from Reception to Year 6. Presently at EEPS, there are 7 classes, one for each year level, with a total enrollment of approximately 90 students. Students are grouped into three key divisions, including Early Years (Reception), Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6). The school includes a full state-of-the-art computer lab housed in the library. The grounds include a court (for netball, basketball, tennis, etc.), artificial turf playfield, and two sets of playground equipment.
