Welcome to the John Gray High School website. John Gray is a vibrant and forward thinking school located in George Town, the capital city of one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Grand Cayman.
My name is Jonathan Clark, and I am very honoured to have taken up the position of Principal at John Gray High School in February 2016, leading my dedicated and passionate team of teachers and other professionals in educating, inspiring and enriching the lives of the children of Cayman as we embark on a new, exciting chapter of a school with a proud history.
'Discipline, Excellence and Pride' is the vision here at John Gray High School and we have our 'High 5' values, developed by students and staff in partnership, of 'Right Time, Right Place, Respect, Responsibility and Achievement' which we live by in order to help us meet that vision.
We opened our brand new 'state of the art' gymnasium in time for the Summer 2017 exams and Graduation ceremony and are now fully engaged and committed to the process of completing the rest of the school site and building a 'world class' school.
We offer a broad and rich curriculum with a strong focus on individual needs and the progress of each student regardless of their starting point. We believe this curriculum, along with an extensive programme of extra - curricular activities, trips, clubs, projects, morals and spiritual guidance, will lead to academic success and also develop the personal skills, resilience and character for our students to achieve great things and make an active contribution to their community and beyond.
We praise hard work and encourage both independence and collaboration, and believe that having a 'growth mind-set' and a positive attitude to learning are the keys to success.
